About SIMO 0.3.0

This is the status of SIMO at the end of the research project that produced it. At the same time this is the starting point for the further development of SIMO as many features are still missing or incomplete.

Simulation

Allows simulations for the traditional stand-stratum-tree data model as well as for more complex data hierarchies where each parent level can have multiple child data levels.

Optimization

Heuristic optimization (simulated annealing, threshold accepting, tabu search, hero) and LP optimization (with external J application).

• Aggregation reports are known not to work on deeply hierarchical data sets (more than three data levels)
• The weights for the LP optimization results are not included in any of the reporting options. Thus if the LP solution contains partial weights, the optimization reports are incorrect.
